The in-field clonal collection of woody species, maintained in the IVALSA experimental station "Azienda Sperimentale Santa Paolina" of Follonica (GR), is the largest of the Italian CNR. The IVALSA has also the first example in Italy of cryobank for the preservation in liquid nitrogen of samples (dormant buds, polyembrionic seeds) of fruit species.
