Since 1972 the former Istituto di Nematologia Agraria of CNR, now Plant Protection Institute, located at Bari, holds a slides collection of several phytoparasitic nematode species proceeding from all over the world. It also holds a collection of living populations of root-knot, cysts and other nematode groups, maintained on susceptible plants in a greenhouse.
