Rome, International Symposium on Genetics and Breeding of Durum Wheat

From 27 to 30 May 2013 Rome will hold the International Symposium on Genetics and Breeding of Durum Wheat, representing one of the largest gatherings of Durum Wheat. The organising committee is expecting at least 300 delegates to attend the meeting.

The Symposium will bring together scientists representing a wide spectrum of research approaches and geographical representation of research on this crop. Assembling specialists with different perspectives all focused around themes of research on Evolution, Genetic Resources, Germplasm enhancement, Breeding Strategies and Tools, Adaptation and sustainability, Disease and Pest Resistance, Technological and Nutritional Quality, Structural and Functional Genomics will provide a stimulating environment for learning, exchange ideas, connecting with old and new colleagues.
